STREAMSIDE STAY, Arcata’s “greenest” vacation rental, which can accommodate up to 6 guests, is located in the McBain Building, 2 blocks off of Arcata Plaza in a quiet mixed use neighborhood. It is a 2 bedroom/1 bath second story apartment, with a deck overlooking Jolly Giant Creek. Streamside Stay is a showcase of environmental-friendly construction and is powered and heated by an innovative solar panel system. This property is EXCELLENCE RATED by Tripadvisor.

Organic design elements, natural fibers, and recycled materials in a muted color palette, create a serene ambiance in this contemporary space. The apartment features a vaulted ceiling and large scale windows which allow ample light into the rooms and afford a view of lushly green Jolly Giant Creek down below. The lofty interior is open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living area. A sliding glass door leads out to the deck seating area, where a gas grill is available for guest use. Living area amenities include a flat screen TV, ceiling fan, and a computer/printer workstation. The dining area can seat six guests and additional seating is available around the kitchen island. The kitchen is fully equipped for meal preparation, and the Northcoast Cooperative Market (like a Whole Foods Market but locally owned) is just a half block away, so very convenient for grocery shopping. The two bedrooms have bedside reading lamps, flat screen TVs, large closets, and sumptuous mattresses and bedding. There is a queen bed in the master and a double bed in the second bedroom. A twin size living room futon and rollaway bed can accommodate 2 additional guests. The bathroom features a tub/shower combination, laundry center, and organic guest bath amenities. Off-street parking is available adjacent to the vacation rental.

This vacation rental’s ideal location allows guests to leave their vehicle and stroll a couple of blocks over to the downtown Plaza square, 4 blocks to the Creamery retail district or world-famous Arcata Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, or 10 blocks to Humboldt State University.
