PARKSIDE COTTAGE is the newest addition to the Arcata Stay Lodging Network. This craftsman inspired cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to Stewart Park. It is a ten minute walk to Arcata's downtown plaza and to Humboldt State University. 

It's proximity to Stewart Park with lawn, playground, and sand area, makes PARKSIDE COTTAGE kid-friendly. It is ideal for guests traveling with small children.  Graco Pack 'n Play, a safety gate, high chair, and stroller are available at the cottage for babies and toddlers.
 
Inside, the cottage is a comfortable well appointed space, with an open floor plan for the living, dining, and kitchen areas.  The kitchen is fully equipped with range, microwave, and refrigerator. The bath, with vanity and ample storage, features a tub shower combination.

The living room sofa makes into a bed which can sleep two additional guests.
A DVD library, selection of books, and wireless internet are additional amenities.

Beautiful maple floors, hand woven carpets, chocolate leather sofa and chair, and historic redwoods photography add warm ambiance to the main living area.

 

 

PARKSIDE COTTAGE has a separate bedroom  with a large walk-in closet. Artwork by the owner, an accomplished painter, adorns the bedroom walls. A queen sized bed featuring an ultra-plush pillow top mattress, down pillows, and fine linens ensure a fine nights rest in this quiet haven.  Stewart Park with it's interesting playground equipment, expanses of lawn, and picnic areas is a well kept community area for kids and adults to play and relax.
 

Guests at PARKSIDE COTTAGE can also enjoy their private deck with tiled bistro table and chairs.

PARKSIDE COTTAGE is a smoke-free and pet free environment.  


DEPOSIT:  A deposit of $200.00 is required for stays of two weeks or longer and for any reservation booked for parents of small children. The deposit is fully refundable following checkout if accommodation is left in good condition and housekeeping does not exceed that normally expected to ready unit for check in.


PARKSIDE COTTAGE

 Park Side Cottage is located in the city of Arcata , which is approximately 275 miles north of San Francisco (approximately 5 hours by car) off Highway 101.
 From San Francisco: Take Highway 101 north up to the 14th Street / Humboldt State University exit.  Turn left (at the stop sign) onto 14th Street and go over the overpass.  At the next stop sign (14th & G) turn right and go two blocks to 16th Street .  Turn left and continue past the high school to the stop sign (16th & L).  Turn left and continue one more block, then turn left on 15th Street .  Straight ahead is a park.  The cottage is on the right side of the street two houses from the park.

From Oregon: Take Highway 101 south to the Sunset Ave/Humboldt State University exit.  Continue straight past the stop sign on H Street to the next stop sign (16th & H).  Turn right and continue to the second stop sign (16th & L). Turn left and continue one more block, then turn left on 15th Street .  Straight ahead is a park.  The cottage is on the right side of the street two houses from the park.

From Redding: Take Highway 299 west to Highway 101 towards Eureka/San Francisco.  Take the Sunset Ave/Humboldt State University exit.  Continue past the stop sign traveling south on H Street to the next stop sign (16th & H).  Turn right and continue to the second stop sign (16th & L). Turn left, continue one more block, then turn left on 15th Street .  Straight ahead is a park.  The cottage is  on the right side of the street two houses from the park.

From Eureka/Arcata Airport: The airport is ten miles north of Arcata, so follow the directions from Oregon
