SCENIC VIEW STAY,  a charming hideaway, which sleeps two, is located on the east side of Arcata.  It is just north of Humboldt State University on Hidden Creek Road  at the end of a drive which winds its way to the top of a hill.

Nestled against a border of redwood and acacia trees with a panoramic view of the lush green bottoms, dunes, and ocean, this accommodation is a truly quiet and private retreat.


On a large secluded piece of property, sited well to the rear of the owners’ residence, this newly built second story studio with forest to the east and the horizon to the west has  a pleasing woodland ambience.

 

SCENIC VIEW STAY has been lovingly decorated in Mediterranean cottage colors: terra cotta, moss green, taupe, gold, and cream.  Furnishings are comfortable and attractive, enhanced with textiles and accessories which complement the warm color scheme.  Arcata is reflected in the artwork on the walls where paintings and photographs by local artists depict the scenic wonders of our town and its environs.

 


The living room is a cozy conversation area with loveseat, easy chair, coffee table, étagère, armoire entertainment center, computer work station, writing desk, and both ambient and task lighting.  SCENIC VIEW STAY has a dining table and chairs, and a fully appointed kitchen.  


The sleeping area is separated from the living/dining area, and has a queen bed, nightstands, reading lamps, side chairs, a mirrored vanity, and a large closet.  The bathroom is off of the bedroom and has both tub and shower.  

Off of the living room, sliding glass doors lead onto the deck where guests can sit at the outdoor bistro table, 
listen to the wind chimes and fountain, and enjoy the view.

RATES:  

A two night minimum is required on weekends.  SCENIC VIEW STAY is self-housekeeping. All linens and towels are furnished.

SCENIC VIEW STAY is a smoke-free environment.  Pets may be accommodated, however this is subject to prior approval and agreement. Pet fee is $25.00 per night up to a total of $125.00 to cover additional housekeeping required when pets stay.

DEPOSIT: A deposit of $200.00 is required for stays of two weeks or longer. The deposit is fully refundable following checkout if accommodation is left in good condition and housekeeping does not exceed that normally expected to ready unit for check in.


PARKING : Below SCENIC VIEW STAY, a garage is available where guests may park and access the  private entrance to the studio. This feature is greatly appreciated during inclement weather.
